We have an opportunity within our Community & Leisure Service where you’ll be working alongside experienced colleagues. You’ll gain valuable skills in countryside management and conservation whilst studying for a recognised qualification in environmental conservation. You’ll also have a mentor to support you in your role and you’ll take part in our additional skills programme.
We’re looking for someone who is positive and a ‘can do’ team member; committed to gaining new skills; innovative; and enthusiastic about work and learning. Ideally you will have GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications including Maths and English, but if you don’t have these, we can support you to achieve them.
The starting salary for our apprentices is £6.00 per hour, increasing to £6.50 after your first year (or the national minimum wage for your age, whichever is greater). Other benefits include:
