The amount of Council Tax payable may be reduced by a discount in certain situations.
Please see the links on the left for the single person discount, to notify us that a property is a second home, for disregarded persons discount, student discount, reductions for disabilities and empty or uninhabitable property discounts.
From the 01/04/2013 the 50% discount allowed on long term empty properties will end and the full charge will be due. Properties that have been empty for two years may be liable to a 50% premium. Also from the 01/04/2013 the full charge will be payable on second homes and the 10% discount will no longer apply.
