Deductions from Income Support
If you are receiving Income Support or income-based Job Seeker's Allowance, the Council may be able to apply for a deduction from that benefit. The amount to be deducted is set each year and during 2015/16 it is £3.85 per week. The Council does not send notification to taxpayers if this method of recovery is chosen however the Benefits Agency would advise you of the reduced amount of benefit you would receive.
