What is the Rent Deposit Loan Scheme?
The Rent Deposit Loan Scheme (RDLS) provides assistance to help secure a home with a private landlord or letting agent. The RDLS aims to assist households who have a connection to Test Valley and who are in very high housing need, such as homeless households.
How can it help me?
The RDLS can help with the first months rent (which a landlord or agent usually requires in advance of a tenancy starting), and / or help with a deposit. This can either be in the form of a loan or a bond (a contractual agreement with the landlord or agent).
