Stepping into a new business

Another entrepreneur has received a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council in recognition of her hard work to start a new company.

Sarah Ellis launched Stride Podiatry to offer treatment plans for foot pain as well as injuries to the hips, back and legs that may be linked to poor posture.

Amport ward member, Councillor Ben Few Brown, presented the cheque to Sarah and said: “It’s great to see yet another small business thriving in Test Valley. Sarah has a vast amount of experience in the NHS and has been working part time as a podiatrist while starting up her own business. She’s put a lot of time and effort into the launch and I wish her all the best with her new venture.”

Sarah added: “Last year was manic but I’m really pleased that I can now work from home and at local venues. I love meeting new people and helping them with their medical needs. The grant from the Council has really helped me to invest more into the early days of the business.”

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
