Cllr Clive Collier presents the £750 Business Incentive Grant to Business Owner Jessica Nicholson

Everything is coming up roses for Jessica

A Romsey resident has been awarded a Business Incentive Grant to help set up her new garden design business.

Jessica Nicholson received the £750 Test Valley Borough Council grant after launching Bean Nicholson Garden Design last year.

With previous experience at a landscape design company in Winchester Jessica has sown the seeds for her own business after applying for the grant.

Jessica said: “It was a big decision to set up my own business but worth the effort, and I am very grateful to receive the grant which has helped enormously in developing the business further, along with some invaluable advice and support from the council."

Romsey Abbey ward councillor Clive Collier, said: “I’m very glad to be able to present Jessica this grant funding.

“It’s always great to see somebody launch their own business and I wish Jessica all the success from her base in Romsey.”

The council’s £750 Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley.

Entrepreneurs should apply for the grant before they start their company and if it is still going strong six months later, they will receive the cheque.
