Local Plan

Legislation set out that planning applications should be determined in line with the Development Plan, or Local Plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise. The Local Plan can be made up of multiple documents, including Development Plan Documents (DPDs) and Neighbourhood Development Plans (NDPs). Adopted and emerging DPDs prepared by the Council are available below.

The Local Development Framework (LDF) is the name given to the collection of planning policy documents, including the development plan. It represents a portfolio of documents which collectively deliver the planning strategy and policies for Test Valley.
