What we can do to help you

help

Our priority is to prevent someone from losing their home and becoming homeless whenever possible. This could be in the form of providing support and assistance to remain in your current home, help you to secure a new home to enable a 'planned move' and also provide advice, support and emergency accommodation for people who are suffering from domestic abuse.

Housing options can include:

  • Joining Hampshire Home Choice
  • Securing accommodation in the private rented sector
  • Shared ownership / Homebuy / keyworker homes through Help to Buy South
  • Supported housing
  • Staying with friends or family
  • Negotiations with landlords, family and friends
  • Lodgings
  • Rent Deposit Loan Scheme
  • Disrepair
  • Extra Care
  • Mortgage Advice
  • Debt Advice

You can visit the Housing Duty Desk in the council offices at Beech Hurst 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays.

Alternatively you can call the council to make an appointment to see a Housing Officer.  See details below:
