Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
We are consulting on a draft Revised Statement of Community Involvement in Planning Matters (SCI). The preparation of an SCI is a requirement of Section 18 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. Its purpose is to set out how the Council will consult and involve the public in the planning process.
The Council adopted its first SCI in August 2006. This was superseded by a second revised SCI in December 2009 in recognition of key changes within Planning Legislation which has taken place at that time. Further subsequent changes introduced more recently, mean that a new revised third version is now needed.
The draft Revised SCI 2013 was agreed for public consultation by Cabinet on 8 May 2013.
Public Consultation starts on Friday 24 May 2013 and closes at 4:30pm on Friday 5 July 2013. We are seeking your views on the draft revised document. Hard copies of the document are available for viewing purposes at Customer Services at the Council Offices in Andover and the Former Magistrates’ Court in Romsey.
