Planning for Romsey's Future

Romsey is facing a period of change. New development is underway at Abbotswood and a new housing site at Whitenap has been proposed in the Council's Revised Local Plan. The Council is keen to involve you in how the town should meet these challenges and the opportunities they provide.

What’s happening?

The ‘Planning For Romsey's Future - Preparing a Masterplan for the Town’ consultation document was available for public consultation during the second half of January 2012 through to the beginning of April 2012. During this period the public were invited to tell us what they thought about the town and how it should develop over the next 20 years.

These comments are now being collated and will be used to help inform a draft plan for Romsey’s Future. It is anticipated that the next round of public consultation will take place during summer 2013.
