Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDS)

Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDS) includes: sofas, sofa beds, armchairs, kitchen and dining room chairs, stools or foot stools, home office chairs, futons, bean bags, floor or sofa cushions. 

To comply with regulations for the disposal of upholstered seating, we will collect these items separately. For more information on WUDS, click here.

 

Damaged WUDS

If you are arranging a WUDS bulky waste collection, any damage to the upholstered seating must be suitably and securely repaired or sealed before your collection, and protected from any wet weather.

No foam or padding material should be exposed.

Examples of repairs can include:

WUDS Tape
Seal any damage with tape

 

WUDS Plastic
Cover any damage with plastic

 

WUDS Bag
Bag the damaged item

 

Repair any damage e.g. with staples
