Our values
We want everyone in Test Valley to feel part of a strong and supportive community. Our four‑year plan sets out how we work with residents to help every place thrive. Our values shape how we work and how we support each other to make a difference.

We treat people with respect and understanding. We listen, communicate thoughtfully, and take the time to support one another. Kindness for us means showing empathy, being patient, and recognising that everyone brings different experiences and perspectives.

We work together across teams, services, and with our partners because we achieve more when we join forces. We share ideas, learn from each other, and build strong relationships that help us deliver better outcomes for our communities.

We take responsibility for what we do and how we do it. We keep our commitments, explain when things change, and do our best to follow through. For us, accountability is about being open, reliable, and supporting each other by doing what we say we will.
