Our Revenues Service has established a reputation for delivering high quality services to the residents of Test Valley.
You will be one of three Team Leaders responsible for managing our Revenues & Welfare team, which delivers Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefit services. The team has recently been restructured to improve the way services are delivered, so this is an exciting opportunity to help continue to shape the future delivery of key services to the public.
You will bring excellent people management skills which will be backed up by knowledge of best practice in this area. Experience of working in a customer facing role and in a regulated environment is essential.
Your role will include being the Council’s technical expert on business rates matters. Experience in business rates is advantageous but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
If you are not already IRRV qualified, you will be required to undertake this as part of your role.

The Environmental Service is responsible for delivering a wide range of services to residents including waste collection, street cleaning and grounds maintenance. We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist in the maintenance of a large fleet of vehicles and plant at our busy depot in Romsey.
This is a vital role within the vehicle maintenance team where you will be required to deliver a high quality service and to take on a range of technical aspects relating to vehicle and plant maintenance.
To be considered for this position you need to demonstrate experience and knowledge of vehicle or plant maintenance.
It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and preferably a Class C Large Goods Vehicle Licence. Having the relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds in vehicle maintenance is key to the role and an MOT testing licence would be an advantage to your application. Appropriate training will be provided to the successful candidate.
