Tenant Liaison/Landlord Liaison Officers

37 Hours per week £24,279 to £26,611 pa
Temporary - 12 months Based Andover

We’re introducing an exciting new and innovative service for landlords and tenants across Test Valley Borough and Winchester City Council areas. As we launch our ‘local letting agencies’ initiatives, we’re looking for two dynamic and customer-focussed professionals who can provide a dedicated landlord and tenant support service to help prevent homelessness and reduce pressure on the housing waiting lists.
As a Liaison Officer, you’ll be a key point of contact for either landlords or tenants from the private rented sector, providing advice and support about rights and responsibilities, and proactively identifying new ways to recruit and retain private rented sector landlords. Our Landlord Liaison Officer will focus on working with landlords in the interests of securing tenancies for people in housing need; and the Tenant Liaison Officer will work with those in housing need to match them with available properties.
We’re looking for people who thrive on providing high quality advice and support in a busy and challenging environment. We’re open minded about relevant previous experience but a passion for helping customers, and experience of working in housing (either private or public sector) would be beneficial, as would a working knowledge of welfare benefits, Housing Law and/or landlord incentive schemes.
In return, amongst the benefits we offer are a defined benefits pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, flexi-time, free car parking on site, staff restaurant and subsidised leisure facilities.
For an informal discussion about these opportunities, please call Keith Sutcliffe, Housing Manager, on 01264 368610.

Variable hours including evenings, weekends and early starts
Looking for an interesting and rewarding part time job in your local community?
Are you a good communicator who is passionate about great service?
Can you be available to work flexible hours to meet our customer needs?
If your answer is yes then we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a true “people person” to be the friendly, professional face of the Council and provide our customers with excellent service at our premises in Romsey. Based at Crosfield Hall you’ll work as part of a team on a variety of events, including Council meetings, private functions, lectures and parties. These take place during days, evenings and weekends and your role will be to prepare the venue and organise any equipment and refreshments required. This includes a variety of caretaking duties such as arranging rooms, preparing drinks, setting up audio and visual equipment, light cleaning, tidying the premises and liaising with cleaners, caterers and building contractors. There is also a requirement to open the Council Offices for staff in Romsey.
You’ll be working on a monthly rota basis for an average of around 84 hours per month, depending on events booked.
