How to vote at this election
In Person - at your polling station between the hours of 7am - 10pm. You must show an acceptable form of ID before you are issued with a ballot paper. More information about what forms of ID you can use can be found on our website at www.testvalley.gov.uk/VoterID.
If you are unable to get to your polling station on Thursday 30 July 2026, there are different options available to you in order for you to cast your vote:
- By post - if you apply to vote by post before the deadline of 5:00pm on Wednesday 15 July 2026, your postal vote will be dispatched around Monday 20 July 2026.
You can apply online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or a copy of the application form for this can be downloaded from here. Please note that you will need to print this form and complete it as a signature is required in order to complete the form.
- By Proxy - the deadline to apply to vote by proxy at these elections is 5pm on Wednesday 22 July 2026. Completed forms can either be scanned and emailed back to us at postal.voting@testvalley.gov.uk or posted back to the address shown on the form.
