The Communications team

The Communications team

The Communications team act as the council's first point of contact for media enquiries as well as issuing news releases and running campaigns to promote the work of the council's different departments.

More information

The Communications team act as the council's first point of contact for media enquiries, dealing with around 600 enquiries a year from journalists representing local, national and specialist media. We issue news releases on behalf of the council and arrange events and campaigns to launch and promote key initiatives.

Communications and media relations are included in the portfolio of the Leader of the Council.

Media enquiries

We will respond to all enquiries as soon as possible or we will call back to agree when we will be able to provide a response. Wherever possible we ask for at least 24 hours notice to arrange interviews.

If you have a media enquiry, please get in touch by email on communications@testvalley.gov.uk or call 01264 368000.

News releases

News releases are issued via e-mail and published on the website at testvalley.gov.uk/news

If you are a member of the media and would like to be added to our news release distribution list, please drop us an email.

Borough newspaper - Test Valley News

The team publishes the borough’s newspaper, Test Valley News, which is sent to about 57,000 households in the area twice each year, in March and October.

Test Valley News keeps local residents informed about the public services and facilities available to them, as well as providing other important local information.

Corporate identity

Clear and consistent branding is as important to the council as to any other large organisation. Corporate identity guidelines and downloadable copies of the council’s logo are available here.
