New Business Support service from Enterprise First

Anyone considering starting a business or who has already become self-employed can receive expert advice on any matter through a variety of channels including face to face meetings as well as telephone, email or skype/facetime on an ongoing basis.

The new services complements the other business support initiatives offered by the council, including start up grants which have been offered for many years.

Dedicated support plus the available grants are part of a strategy to increase the number of business start-ups and self-employed people in Test Valley.

Economic Portfolio holder Peter Giddings comments:
I welcome the introduction of a new and innovative service to help new businesses in Test Valley and especially us working with Enterprise First with whom the Council has an historic relationship. The business support will be responsive and tailored to individuals’ needs and will be available through channels, such as Skype, which are convenient to the customer.”

Andy Pringle, Business Adviser Manager at Enterprise First says: “We are here to help anyone with any business related needs. We can offer support with writing business plans, securing funding or advice regarding expansion. Our aim is to remove the barriers that stop people from starting and growing a business and we’re delighted to be able to work with Test Valley Borough Council in doing this.”
