Test Valley Borough Council have two public art commissions available; The Andover Heritage Trail Murals and The Lidl Distribution Centre, Nursling. Details for both opportunities are below.
Public Art Commission: Andover Heritage Trail Murals
TVBC wish to commission an artist to create two new murals for the Andover Heritage Trail. The artworks will provide dynamic visuals that animate the two heritage locations and their stories and provide a coherent theme to the existing trail. The artworks will enable residents and visitors of Andover to learn about, enjoy and discover the heritage of the town.
The sites for the Murals are the Old Gaol (Old Jail) on Bridge Street, and the Angel Inn yard in the Upper High Street. Two very different sites with their own challenges for the commission.

Public Art Commission: Lidl Distribution Centre, Nursling
Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) wish to commission a public artwork for the roundabout outside the new Lidl Distribution Centre in Nursling, Southampton. As a key entrance site to the Adanac Business Park and thriving economic area the artwork should act as a landmark piece. It should be innovative whilst making reference to the heritage of the southern tip of the Test Valley and Southampton.
TVBC are inviting artists to apply for this commission opportunity by demonstrating their track record in delivering public art projects, their experience of innovative design work, community engagement and working with creative teams.
