An Introduction to Abbey
Abbey is an urban ward which covers 179 hectares in the south of Test Valley, and is one of three areas which together make up the town of Romsey. It is located on the western side of the town and contains the town centre as well as an industrial estate, residential areas and areas of open space including a conservation area.
The growth of Romsey and the surrounding areas means that the different parts of Romsey are integral to each other. Residents of particular areas use facilities that may not be located directly in their ward.
Abbey ward is represented by two Borough Councillors.
