Valley Park Local Nature Reserve

Useful information:

Please note there are no formal footpaths around the site, and that most paths are woodland tracks with no form of hard surface, which can be muddy particularly through the winter months. Visitors are advised to follow defined paths and boardwalks throughout the site as some parts are inaccessible to the public due to ground conditions and onsite management.

Disability access kissing gates have recently been installed at the entrances to Zionshill Copse and Zionshill West, to allow access to the woods for wheelchair users. Please note that some paths may be unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs at certain times of the year.

Please note that no fishing is permitted within any of the ponds located throughout Valley Park. Lifebelts, which are inspected four times a month, are strategically placed around the three balancing ponds.

We also kindly request all litter and dog waste is removed from all woodlands throughout the site. Bins are located near the main entrances to each of the woodlands, which can be used to dispose of both general and dog waste.

Dogs must be kept under effective control at all times throughout the reserve, and please note that dogs are not permitted within the fenced play areas.
