Covid-19 Emergency Response Community Grant

Test Valley Borough Council has launched a new grant scheme for those providing community support during the coronavirus pandemic.

Existing voluntary groups, informal groups established in response to the pandemic, parish and town councils and schools can all apply for a grant of up to £500.

The funding can be used for a range of purposes, from covering volunteer and travel expenses to paying for equipment or printing. It is intended to support the local provision of emergency supplies to the community but cannot be used for a specific individual.

Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply?

  • Voluntary groups / not for profit organisations / incorporated clubs and societies

  • Informal groups established in response to the Covid-19 pandemic (we can help you find a third party to receive the payment).

  • Parish or Town Councils

  • Schools, in relation to their wider community role  

What can I apply for?

  • Maximum Grant of £500

  • Funding is intended to help voluntary groups support members of the community experiencing/overcoming difficulties as a result of the Covid-19 virus outbreak. This may include but not be limited to those self shielding, the elderly, those on low incomes, children and young people. 

  • Grants are unrestricted and can be used for practical support such as equipment, transport, printing etc. The grant can be used to support the local provision of emergency supplies to the community but should not be used to provide goods or services for a specific individual.

What information must be provided?

  • A fully completed, signed and dated application form.

What conditions must be satisfied?

  • The grant is solely for work involved in supporting the community through the Covid-19 outbreak not furthering the work of an organisation. 

  • You must retain all receipts for spending of the grant.
