Valley Park Ward Profile
Ward profiles have been developed for each of the 24 ward areas in Test Valley. The profiles aim to provide consistent information about local communities across the borough. It is hoped that these profiles will allow a greater understanding of your local area and help to identify priorities for the community.

'Ward' is a term used by the Council and other public sector bodies to define an area. Each ward has at least one Borough Councillor who has been elected by the people who live in that ward to represent their views.
The ward of Valley Park covers 260 hectares on the south-eastern edge of Test Valley bordering Eastleigh Borough Council on one side the ward of North Baddesley on the other.
Valley Park is a semi-rural residential estate with the majority of residents being couples with young children living in modern housing. Most residents are professionals who commute to areas outside the ward for work.
There are a number of different groups of people living in Valley Park, the majority of whom are independent and self reliant with low service demand on the Council. Residents tend to travel to Southampton for services rather than using the local town of Romsey.
