As we had to cancel last Friday’s waste collections due to the snow, Friday’s waste collections will now take place today. As a result, this week’s bin collections will take place a day later than usual. We would like to apologise again for the inconvenience.
Roads and Footpaths
Hampshire County Council are responsible for gritting the roads and footpaths in Hampshire. Salt bins are located across the district. Find your nearest salt bin.

Elderly / Vulnerable persons
A spell of cold weather is especially difficult for some members of our community. Please check on elderly or vulnerable family, friends and neighbours. If you have concerns about anybody keeping warm, advice is available here
Our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) arrangements are in place and our out of hours service is via 01264 368000
The SWEP arrangements are with Two Saint’s Direct Access Hostel in Andover and they will provide emergency bed and food provision for anyone sleeping rough or out in the cold during the cold spell. http://www.twosaints.org.uk/
The Bridge, Andover http://www.thevalleychurch.co.uk/ has extended its Night Drop In service from 7pm – 10pm every night until 8th March 2018 while we are experiencing this cold weather spell. They will also be providing the following services for those who are rough sleeping or homeless in need – washing and drying of clothes , shower facilities, hot food and snacks.
Health and Hospital Appointments
Measures have been put in place to reduce the impact of the cold weather on hospitals and they intend to run services as normal, as far as possible.
If you have an appointment today (1 March) and it is safe for you to travel to hospital, please attend as planned unless you hear from the hospital.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let the NHS know using the contact details on your appointment letter.

Leisure Centres and The Lights
