Aster Living Support Services

Aster Living offer a range of support services for people living in the Test Valley area. There are different types of support available, intended to meet different types and levels of need:

Aster Telecare

The telecare service installs simple to use alarms and sensors, that give reassurance and support. Telecare is suitable for people who live alone, people who are vulnerable to falling and those who just want the reassurance of knowing someone is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and you can try the service free for 8 weeks.  More information is available from the Aster Living website www.astertelecare.co.uk or by calling 0333 400 8299.

Floating Support 

This is a short term support service that aims to prevent homelessness by enabling you to take control of and maintain your tenancy.

The service provides:

  • Advice and support to assist with moving into and staying in accommodation
  • Advice and support to develop independent living skills
  • Advice and support with claiming benefits and grants
  • Liaison with other support, training and employment agencies.

Community Support

This is a long term support service giving regular contact and offering counselling and emotional support within your own home by training community support advisors. Community support advisors can provide advice and support on safety and security, assistance with social interaction, assistance to contact agencies who can help with shopping and cleaning, advice on repairs and 24 hour alarm system support.
