Sparkle Day success

North Baddesley is shining!

Test Valley Borough Council’s Sparkle Day team visited the Ringwood Drive area of North Baddesley on Thursday, 28 July to give the area an extra bit of sparkle.

The team removed two tonnes of waste, including a large bag of bricks. They also discovered an area where more than 30 bags of dog waste had been littered. To prevent this from happening in the future, the Council will install a new dog waste bin in the area. The team also provided information about recycling to approximately 150 properties.

Environmental Portfolio Holder, Councillor Graham Stallard, said: “The Sparkle Day team cut back a lot of shrubs during this visit. The green waste amounted to half of the total waste that the team collected. I’d like to thank everyone in the team for their hard work and for making the area look tidier.”

The next Sparkle Day will take place on Friday, 23 September in the Anna Fields area of Andover.
