In order to vote in this Referendum, people need to be registered on the Register of Electors. Anyone not already registered can register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by contacting Electoral Services at Test Valley Borough Council. The deadline to register for voting in the Referendum is Tuesday 7 June 2016. People who are already registered to vote do not need to re-register for the EU Referendum. If anyone is not sure if they are registered to vote, please contact the Council on 01264 368000.

The poll cards include details of where to go to vote and how to find out more about the EU Referendum. They will also confirm if people have requested a postal vote or a proxy vote. Postal voting and proxy voting provide a more flexible approach to help people who would otherwise find it difficult to make it to their polling station on the day of the Referendum.

Applications for postal or proxy voting can be requested by contacting Electoral Services at Test Valley Borough Council on 01264 368000, or downloaded at www.testvalley.gov.uk/eureferendum. The deadline for postal vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday 8 June 2016. Any applications received after this date will not be allowed for the Referendum. Proxy vote applications must be received by the Council by 5pm on Wednesday 15 June 2016.
