Small Business Saturday

Celebrating success on 3 December

Independent businesses in Andover and Romsey will be offering shoppers some quality products at unmissable deals on 3 December in celebration of Small Business Saturday.

Both Andover and Romsey town centre partnerships will be supported by Test Valley Borough Council - Hampshire’s most small-business-friendly local authority according to the Federation of Small Businesses – and the Chamber of Commerce to offer shoppers fantastic deals in recognition of the unique offering that independent retailers bring to the local economy.

Economic Portfolio Holder, Councillor Peter Giddings, said: “Small businesses are a vital part of our local economy and I am pleased to see retailers taking part in the celebrations. It’s a great time to get out and about and enjoy all the things that our small businesses have to offer.”

There will be music and entertainment in Andover High Street, and The Lights theatre will host its annual Food and Gift Fair from 10am to 3pm. In Romsey, shoppers will find fantastic deals in the Town Hall from 10am to 4pm.

Participating retailers in Andover will also launch a prize draw where customers will be in with a chance to win £250 to spend in town, and Romsey shoppers will be in with the chance of winning a Christmas hamper worth £50.
