Community Woodfair set to draw crowds in again

Visitors are invited to get close to nature and enjoy the great outdoors at the 17th annual Community Woodfair at Zionshill Copse Local Nature Reserve, Valley Park.

At this perfect woodland setting, there will be talented crafters creating stunning wood sculptures and carvings, falconry displays and traditional woodland crafts as well as face painting, children’s workshops, a conservation tent and much more for the whole family to enjoy.

Community and Leisure Portfolio Holder, Councillor Tony Ward, said: “The Community Woodfair remains as popular as ever so I’m delighted that it is now in its 17th year. I am always amazed at how fantastic the demonstrations are and how talented the craft workers are. I thoroughly recommend the event and look forward to seeing you there.”

The event on Saturday, 2 September from 10am to 5pm is free to attend although there may be a small charge for some of the activities. For more information, visit www.testvalley.gov.uk/valleyparkwoodlands.
