Growing Together project grows with Council grant

Councillors from across Andover have joined together to present a £2,000 community grant to fund a local charity that supports some of the town’s most vulnerable residents.

Enham Alamein ward member, Councillor Tracey Preston, presented the money to staff from Yellow Brick Road during a visit to Finkley Down Farm. The money will be used to fund the charity’s Growing Together project; an initiative that provides activities including dance fit, domestic abuse awareness, peer mentoring, childhood health and midwifery appointments to local residents.

Councillor Preston said: “The Growing Together project is a fantastic resource for vulnerable young parents and their children. I’m delighted to have joined the group on an outing to Finkley Down Farm where I can clearly see how valuable these activities are. I wish the charity continued success.”
