Public exhibition for Andover Leisure Centre

Your chance to view proposals

Residents are invited to attend an exhibition of the proposals for the new Andover Leisure Centre, being held by Places for People Leisure and Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC).

The public exhibition will take place on Wednesday, 15 February 2017 at The Lights theatre from 3pm to 8.30pm.

Places for People Leisure were recently awarded the 30 year leisure contract and have exciting plans to provide a brand new and improved Andover Leisure Centre. The exhibition is being held to give members of the public an opportunity to view the proposals and ask their questions directly to Places for People and TVBC. Artist impressions of the proposed new building will be on display, along with details of the leisure centre’s planned state of the art facilities.

Community and Leisure Portfolio Holder, Councillor Tony Ward, said: “The Council, along with Places for People Leisure, are delighted to be able to show the proposals for the new leisure centre. We believe it is important to answer resident’s queries and reassure them about the changes that will be taking place. I strongly encourage residents to attend and for those who are unable to, the exhibition panels will remain at The Lights for the following week along with a box to submit questions.”

Sandra Dodd, Chief Executive at Places for People Leisure added: “We are so pleased to have been awarded the leisure contract and we are excited for the development of the new building. The exhibition will be an excellent opportunity for us to show how Places for People Leisure is focused on providing a leisure service that will meet the needs of the whole community.”
