Romsey is sparkling

On Wednesday, 14 June, a team from Test Valley Borough Council’s Environmental Service visited the Viney Avenue area of Romsey to carry out a Sparkle Day.

Environment Portfolio Holder, Councillor Graham Stallard, said: “The team collected more than four tonnes of waste. They swept the roads and pavements, cut grass and hedges, power washed signs and cleared litter from the area. They also provided waste and recycling information to around 90 properties. I would also like to thank Councillor Mark Cooper who came along and helped clear litter from the area”.

The next Sparkle Day will take place on Wednesday, 28 June in the Kings Chase area of Andover. For more information about Sparkle Days and the Council’s Love Where You Live initiative, visit www.testvalley.gov.uk/love
