James Stalker receiving a Council Business Incentive Grant from Andover Alamein ward member, Councillor Alexander Brook

Self-employed engineer receives business grant

A new plumbing business in Andover has received a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.

James Stalker launched Eco Pro Renewables in 2016. The new company specialises in the installation, servicing and repair of domestic and commercial heat pumps, and James advises his clients about the different types of heating options that are available. He also keeps up to date on related government grants that are available to help customers to pay for the equipment.

Andover Alamein ward member, Councillor Alexander Brook, said: “James is a highly qualified, approachable heat pump engineer who clearly has the interests of his customers at heart. I am delighted to be presenting him with the Council’s Business Incentive Grant and I wish him the very best of luck in his business venture.”

James Stalker added: “My accountants recommended the grant to me and I’m really pleased they did! The Business Incentive Grant isn’t just about the financial gain; the networking opportunities are invaluable. I’d like to thank the Council for the ongoing support since I launched the company last year.”

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
