Green light for new driving academy

A new Andover company has got the green light from Test Valley Borough Council through help from a Business Incentive Grant.

Emily Green, a fully qualified driving instructor with the DVLA,  has set up Green Light Driving Academy.

Harroway Ward member, Councillor Karen Hamilton has presented  Emily with Test Valley Borough Council’s £750 Business Incentive Grant. She said: “ Emily already has a full diary – and a waiting list! With a successful pass rate, she prides herself on being able to teach any age or disposition, and I am sure her business will go from strength to strength.”l

Emily said: “On behalf of Green Light Driving Academy in Andover, I would like to thank TVBC for their generosity with their funding and offering me a business grant.

“Since starting my own driving school business, I have continually strived to improve my knowledge and skills within my industry and have recently taken on my first driving instructor to work with me. The funding from TVBC will help me work towards further expansion and growth to my business in my local area. Thank you TVBC.”

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
