Flower pot painting - Monday 3 May

Spring into the Chantry Centre and enjoy free craft workshops!

To celebrate spring and the easing of lockdown, the Chantry Centre will be hosting a free spring craft event on Monday 3 May for all the family to enjoy.

On the bank holiday Monday families can head to the inside garden area, next to Boswell’s seating, to take part in a flower pot painting workshop. Participants can enjoy painting their very own terracotta plant pot, which will be filled with compost and seeds for them to take home to grow.

Due to social distancing guidelines, spaces for this event are limited and families, or social bubbles, of up to six people can book a table at one of the sessions which will run at select times between 10am – 3:45pm. Bookings can be made at www.thechantrycentre.com.

This will be the first event to take place in the Chantry Centre this year, following the recent reopening of the majority of non-essential retail. Test Valley Borough Council is planning to run a series of events for Andover residents and visitors this year as lockdown restrictions continue to lift.

Social distancing measures will remain in place inside the Chantry Centre, to ensure all shoppers and those attending events and activities will be safe. One way routes have been installed, hand sanitiser is available throughout, carefully managed queuing systems are in place and all adults and children over the age of 11 are asked to wear a face covering when inside the centre and shops, unless medically exempt from doing so.

The flower pot painting workshop will be taking place in the Chantry Centre on Monday 3 May, with six sessions running between 10am to 3:45pm. It is free of charge for adults and children of all ages, booking is essential and tickets must be booked at www.thechantrycentre.com
