Vida Physio brings expert sports injury care to Romsey, backed by a council grant
Romsey’s new physiotherapy clinic, Vida Physio, is off to a strong start with the support of Test Valley Borough Council’s Business Incentive Grant.
Founded by Tom Jenkins, a seasoned consultant sports physiotherapist with over a decade of experience and a standout career as lead physio for a national sports team, Vida Physio is already making waves in the local community. Tom’s decision to launch his own clinic in Romsey stems from the demand for sports physiotherapy in the area.
Tom said: “Thank you very much to Test Valley Borough Council who have supported my journey as a start-up business. The process was simple to engage with and has been great to have support and suggestions with groups and networks to help the business growth. I will be using the grant to help fund further innovative equipment that will help to return patients back to sport from injury sooner and in better condition.”
Tom is currently saving towards a Shockwave Therapy device, a cutting-edge tool used to treat tendon and soft tissue injuries. This is a part of Tom’s commitment to offering advanced treatment options to local athletes and active individuals.
Councillor Neil Gwynne, Romsey Cupernham Ward, said: “Launching a new business is never easy, and success takes hard work and a good eye for opportunity, which are qualities Tom has clearly shown. His impressive CV, including his role with a national sports team, speaks volumes. I’m delighted he’s chosen Romsey to set up what I’m sure will be a successful business for years to come.”
Test Valley Borough Council is committed to supporting local businesses through various initiatives and grants. The Business Incentive Grant is designed to help new businesses located in Test Valley achieve their goals and contribute to the local economy. You must apply for the grant within eight weeks of starting to trade, and the Council will award the money once you have been up and running for a minimum of six months.
