Training in Partnership to open new community training hub in the Chantry Centre

A new training hub is set to open in the Chantry Centre, offering practical and accessible learning for people across Andover.

Training in Partnership has been set up by experienced trainer Melonie Hall, who has worked in health and social care for more than 35 years. The new space aims to support local care providers, businesses, parents and the wider community with high‑quality, hands‑on training.

The hub will offer a wide range of courses, including first aid training for businesses and families, as well as health and social care development programmes tailored to the needs of local services. Bespoke training packages and support for organisations that want to strengthen skills, support staff and meet compliance requirements, will also be available.

Alongside professional training, the centre will provide opportunities for parents and carers to learn essential first aid and safety skills in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Melonie Hall, founder of Training in Partnership, said: “This space is about more than just training – it’s about creating a place where people feel supported, confident and equipped with the skills they need. Whether you’re working in care, running a business, or raising a family, the right knowledge can make a real difference.

“I’m passionate about making training practical and meaningful – something people can walk away from and genuinely use. This launch is about bringing that approach into the community and making it accessible to everyone.”

To mark the opening, there will be a series of free launch events:

  • Health and care provider networking lunch: Thursday 26 March, 11.30am to 2pm
  • Business networking evening: Thursday 26 March, 4pm to 7pm
  • Community open day: Saturday 28 March, 10am to 4pm

Visitors will be able to explore the new space, learn about the courses on offer and speak directly with Melonie about training opportunities for themselves, their families or their organisations.

Councillor Phil North, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “This is a great example of a community‑focused organisation choosing to invest in Andover. Training in Partnership will give local people and employers access to valuable skills and support, and I’m delighted to see it open its doors.

“It also complements the work of the Andover Health Hub, which was recently shortlisted for a national award for the way we’ve worked with NHS partners to create an innovative, community‑focused health facility in the heart of town. Together, these new spaces show how the Chantry Centre is becoming a place where services, skills and community support come together as part of our wider regeneration plans for Andover, making a real difference to residents and businesses alike.”
