Vintage toy and collectibles shop opens first store in Andover’s Chantry Centre

A new independent store celebrating nostalgia, pop culture and classic toys has opened its doors in the Chantry Centre. I Remember These, an online business specialising in vintage toys and collectibles, has chosen Andover for its first physical shop.

Founded by owner Daniel Ralph, I Remember These has built a strong following over several years by sourcing toys, games and memorabilia from past decades. The new store, located in the former Claire’s Accessories unit, brings together a carefully curated range of retro finds – from action figures and comics to games, trading cards and collectable memorabilia.

Councillors Iris Andersen and Jan Budzynski officially opened the shop on Saturday 21 March.

Daniel Ralph, owner of I Remember These, said: “Opening our first store is a huge moment for us, and Andover felt like the right place to do it.

“We’ve had so much support online over the years, but we’ve always wanted a space where people can come in, chat, browse and enjoy that sense of nostalgia together.

"The Chantry Centre has a real mix of creative and independent businesses, and we’re excited to be part of it.”

The opening adds to the growing number of independent brands choosing the Chantry Centre as a base, following recent arrivals such as High Score Arcades and Go Fudge. It also supports Test Valley Borough Council’s wider work to bring activity, choice and new experiences into the heart of Andover.

Councillor Iris Andersen, ward member for Andover St. Mary’s, said: “It was a pleasure to open I Remember These and welcome Daniel to the Chantry Centre.

"This shop adds a new dimension to Andover’s growing mix of independent retailers, offering something distinctive and full of character.

"I know it will spark lots of memories for people of all ages, and it’s great to see another independent business choosing to invest in our town centre. These openings show the confidence people have in Andover as we continue our regeneration plans.”

Councillor Phil North, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, added: “Independent businesses like I Remember These play an important role in the evolution of the Chantry Centre, and our wider regeneration plans, by bringing energy, interest and more reasons for people to spend time in the town centre.

“As we develop plans to invest in the Chantry Centre building so it works better for the community and meets the needs of a 21st century town centre, it’s great to see more creative and unique businesses choosing to be part of that journey.”

The store is now open for customers to explore, with new stock added regularly. For more information visit www.irememberthese.com.
