Waste Collections
Information about waste collections and delays will be published on our social media channels and the website Waste & Recycling | Test Valley Borough Council. If your bin has been missed, please check the webpage before reporting it, in case the cause was the weather.
In windy conditions, please bring your bins, sacks etc in as soon as possible after they’ve been emptied.

Elderly / Vulnerable persons
A spell of severe weather is especially difficult for some members of our community. Please check on elderly or vulnerable family, friends and neighbours. If you have concerns about anybody keeping warm, advice is available here.

Hot weather advice
Stay out of the sun between 11am and 3pm.
Apply sunscreen, wear loose, lightweight cotton clothing, a hat, and sunglasses.
Have plenty of cold drinks - avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks.
Avoid physical exertion - it is important that outdoor workers stay out of the sun and take measures to keep cool and hydrated.
