Applying for work experience
Who can apply?
We are keen to receive applications from young people living in or near Test Valley aged 14 and up, we also welcome applications from those at university, returning to work or interested in a career change.
How do I apply?
Type 1 – Corporate Work Experience
We can no longer receive applications directly from students.
Local schools within the Test Valley area can nominate up to six students who they feel would benefit most from this type of placement. Therefore, please speak to your school’s work experience lead and ask them to get in touch with us at : wexperience@testvalley.gov.uk
We will need the following details from them :
- Full name and email of pupils to attend
- Dates of the work placement
- Any specific areas of interest for each students
Type 2 – Specific Placement (for ages 16 and above)

Applying takes between ten and fifteen minutes.
It can take several weeks to set up a placement, so please apply at least 6 weeks before your intended start date.
