Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman is an independent person who investigates allegations of maladministration causing injustice to the person who has complained. It is a free and fair service.

You can contact the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman at any stage of your complaint, but they will usually expect you to have given the Council a chance to deal with your complaint first.

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsmann Advice Team is the first point of contact for all enquiries and new complainants from any part of England.
