Housing register application process flowchart
- Click “Register” on Hampshire Home Choice
- Enter your National Insurance number
- Complete personal details and contact preferences
- Set up security: memorable date + password this must be 6–10 characters, 2 upper, 2 lower, 2 numbers.
- National Insurance number - this can be found on your NI card, payslip, P60, P45 or benefit letters.
- The Hampshire Home Choice website guides you through each page
- You have 15 minutes per page before timeout
- You can save your application at any time
- Proof of ID for all household members this could be your birth certificate, passport, driving licence.
- 5‑year address history
- Full bank statements (last 2 months, all accounts, PDF)
- Evidence of savings/investments (ISAs, bonds, shares, premium bonds)
- Evidence of income (payslip or HMRC return if self‑employed)
- Proof of immigration status (share code if non‑UK national)
- Your application will be assessed and you’ll be told the outcome
- You may be contacted for more information
- If non‑qualifying, the decision and next steps will be explained
You don't need to make this application yourself, you may wish to ask a close friend or family member to help. Agencies such as Citizens Advice or Age Concern may also be able to assist. Alternatively, please contact the Lettings Team for further support.
