New Renters' Rights Act
The Renters’ Rights Act received Royal Assent and became law in October 2025, bringing major changes to the private rented sector in England.
Key reforms
✅ Ending Section 21 ‘no-fault’ evictions
📅 All tenancies becoming periodic
💰 Limits on rent increases (once per year)
🛡️ Stronger tenant rights and property standards
📋 Mandatory landlord registration and Ombudsman scheme
These reforms aim to improve fairness, security and transparency for everyone involved. We will share more updates when implementation dates are confirmed.
Landlords’ Forum
