Calling all skateboarders!

Free skateboarding sessions in Romsey

Test Valley Borough Council is inviting keen skaters to attend free skateboarding sessions at Romsey Sports Centre and Knightwood Leisure Centre on Saturdays throughout the summer holidays.

The sessions will take place at Romsey Sports Centre skate park from 10am to 12pm and Knightwood Leisure Centre skate park from 2pm to 4pm every Saturday from 30 July to 3 September. The fun and interactive sessions, hosted by action sports company Team Rubicon, will provide a friendly environment for beginners to learn the basics of skateboarding as well as an opportunity to help experienced skaters master some of the more difficult tricks.

Community and Leisure Portfolio Holder, Councillor Tony Ward, said: “These sessions will be a fantastic way to teach skaters how to improve their skills and enjoy the facilities safely. I’d like to thank Team Rubicon for hosting the sessions and for providing fantastic advice and guidance to local skate park users.”

Anyone interested in attending can turn up on the day without having to book. For more information, please contact Test Valley Borough Council on 01264 368000.
