What’s your vision for Andover? Have your say at this Sunday’s Andover Carnival!

The Andover Vision team will be attending this Sunday’s carnival celebrations at Vigo Recreation Ground, to find out more about people’s hopes and aspirations for the town.

Residents are invited to visit the Andover Vision stand between 12pm and 6pm to take part in a range of great activities to help create a new vision for the town and make it an even better place to live. And there is also a chance to take part in a treasure hunt, so shoppers and visitors are encouraged to keep an eye out for Andover Vision tokens in and around the High Street, which will include instructions about what to do next.

Councillor Phil North, who has been coordinating the Andover Vision project, said: “Andover Vision is very much about encouraging people to share their ideas, hopes and aspirations for the town, which is why we are keen to get out and talk to as many residents as possible. If you’re planning to head to the carnival then we’d be delighted if you could pop by the Andover Vision stand and have a quick chat with us.”

The event follows the Andover Vision Community Workshop held in April, which saw 70 people from local community groups and organisations come together to share their ideas to enhance the town. Feedback from residents will be used to develop an Andover Vision document and action plan, which are expected to be launched in April 2017.
