Get ready to light up Andover!

Andover will light up on 18 November

We are in the final weeks leading up to the biggest High Street event of the year in Andover … the Christmas Lights Switch-on from 5pm – 7.30pm on Friday 18 November, brought to you by Test Valley Borough Council.

Make a date in your diary now so that you don’t miss out on the party! The Big TV screen will once again grace the High Street to make sure that you don’t miss anything that is going on, and there will be lots to see!

Father Christmas will be stopping by on the night, and the stage will play host to a range of local performers including the Portway Glee Club, Fair Play Performing Arts, Jack Harris and John Springett.

The Breeze will compère the evening, and there will be rides and attractions, children’s face painting and lots of delicious food to keep you warm in the countdown to Christmas.

The evening will culminate in the Christmas Lights switch on followed by a grand firework display sponsored by The Chantry Centre, and the Christmas tree and lights are provided by Andover Town Council.

Visitors are asked to please note that due to the popularity of the Christmas Lights Switch and the volume of people on the evening, the lanes from Shaws Walk and George Yard towards the High Street will be closed during the event.
