Residents in the Anna Fields area of Andover celebrated the start of autumn with a spectacular Sparkle Day on 23 September.

From sweeping roads and paths, to pruning shrubs and collecting almost three tonnes of waste, Test Valley Borough Council’s Sparkle Day team ensured the area was looking spick and span. They also removed graffiti, cleaned road signs and provided recycling information to almost 100 properties.

Environmental Portfolio Holder, Councillor Graham Stallard said: “The Sparkle Day team always does a fantastic job, and their visit to Anna Fields was no exception. I would like to thank the team for all their hard work. I would also like to thank Cllr Sandra Hawke for her support on the day.

“We are always looking for new areas to add a little sparkle to, so please contact the Council if you’d like a visit from the Sparkle Day team.”
