Evie’s Drawer opens grant

New company receives financial boost

Test Valley Borough Council has presented a creative entrepreneur with a £750 Business Incentive Grant following the launch of her new business, Evie’s Drawer.

Antoinette Watt launched Evie’s Drawer in February 2016. The new business, based in Andover, stocks a beautiful range of hand-crafted gifts and accessories, from precious pieces of jewellery to stunning works of art. The company mainly trades online, at www.eviesdrawer.co.uk, but Antoinette also sells her products at local fairs and exhibitions.

Antoinette added: “I’d like to thank Test Valley Borough Council for the grant. Setting up a business is hard work, so I am very grateful for the support from the Council. I've always wanted to run my own business and bring inspirational interior items and gifts to people who love to make their homes unique. I'm really pleased to have achieved this with Evie's Drawer.”

Abbotts Ann ward member, Councillor Maureen Flood, said: “Antoinette has put a lot of effort into launching Evie’s Drawer. Her beautiful products make perfect gifts and home accessories. I wish her the best of luck in taking the business forward.”

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to local entrepreneurs looking for help with setting up their own business in Test Valley.
