Test Valley Borough Council has awarded a £500 Business Incentive Grant to Giles Cooper, an Andover entrepreneur who has set up a new financial advice service, Chalkcroft Wealth Management.

Giles has a wide range of experience in the banking sector. He previously worked for Barclays Private Bank where he managed large investment portfolios and provided financial advice to individuals and business owners. More recently, Giles has worked independently advising clients on their pensions, ISAs and inheritance tax planning as well as helping them grow and structure their investments.

Giles said: “I would like to thank the Council for supporting my new financial advice business. I am looking forward to building my client base and using my extensive experience to advise both individuals and businesses on effectively managing their investments.

“In the interests of growing my business and to show my gratitude to the Council for their kind support, I am offering a free financial consultation to anybody within 30 miles of Andover for the next six months. If anyone would like to arrange a meeting, please contact me on giles.cooper@sjpp.co.uk.”

Penton Bellinger ward member, Councillor Pam Mutton, said: “I am pleased to present the Business Incentive Grant to Giles. He has worked very hard to set up the business and I have no doubts that the business venture will be successful.”
