New company cleans up with grant

New Edition Car Wash receives £750

Test Valley Borough Council has presented Nicholas Asamoah with a £750 Business Incentive Grant in recognition of his success setting up an eco-friendly steam car washing business in Andover, New Edition Car Wash.

New Edition Car Wash uses specialist equipment, which doesn’t require chemicals, to clean the customer’s entire vehicle including seats, vents, engine and crevices. The powerful steam cleaner doesn’t produce any waste water and is one of just five cleaners of this type in the country. Nicholas will visit customers at their home or work to clean their car, meaning the service is entirely mobile and flexible to individual needs.

Nicholas said: “I’m really pleased that the company has been so successful during its first few months and has created a tremendous growing reputation of delivering great customer service and top quality valet. Test Valley Borough Council has been very supportive. The Business Incentive Grant has helped me financially and the scheme has also provided me with valuable business contacts.”

Winton ward member, Councillor Chris Lynn, presented Nicholas with the cheque along with Councillor Jan Budzynski. He said: “I’d like to congratulate Nicholas for all his hard work setting up the business. It’s a fantastic small business and I have no doubt that clients will be impressed with the service he offers.”
