Hairdresser really has The Cutting Edge

A busy hairdresser from Andover has recently received the second instalment of a £1,000 Test Valley Borough Council Independent Retailer Grant.

Nina Lund, owner of The Cutting Edge, opened her High Street salon in 2016 and was presented with the first £500 instalment of the grant soon after. Her salon offers barbering, styling and tanning, and its highly qualified staff are able to give hair and beauty advice to customers.

St Mary’s ward member, Councillor John Cockaday, presented the cheque to Nina and said: “Nina has worked incredibly hard to launch The Cutting Edge and has grown a strong client base of returning customers. The salon is doing really well and I’d like to wish Nina continued success in her business venture.”

Nina added: “The grants available from the Council are fantastic for new businesses like mine so I would encourage anyone looking to set up a new business to contact them for guidance. The money from the Independent Retailer Grant will help towards growing the business further.”
