Business applying for council grant receives £750
An Andover business has been awarded £750 after applying for a Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.
With 12 years’ experience working locally in the field, businessman Michael Elbourn set out to start his own carpentry business last year. Offering carpentry and joining services to his customers, Michael will continue to cover the local area providing high quality work.
After being told about the council’s Business Incentive Grants, Michael applied and was later awarded with a £750 boost to help his business six months on.
He said: “I’m pleased to have my own business now and reap the rewards of going it alone. I take a lot of pride in my work, and have great feedback from my customers. I am really grateful that I was awarded this grant, it has helped a lot.”
Harroway ward councillor Karen Hamilton presented the grant. She said: “I am thrilled to present Michael with this Business Incentive Grant. I wish Michael every success in the future.”
The council’s business incentive grants aren’t on a knead-to-know basis… they’re available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
These funds have become available to the community as a consequence of the council’s prudent investments, financial management and the use of the New Homes Bonus.
